The Saskatchewan Grain Car Corporation (1/1981-present)

Background

Along with Alberta, Saskatchewan also entered the grain car business in 1981 with 1,000 cars lettered in an attractive chocolate and orange scheme. SKNX cars were assigned to Canadian National, and SKPX cars to Canadian Pacific. The entire fleet was "delisted" from the ORER in 7/1985 although they remain in service today. Reporting marks added 1/1981.
